The Golden State Warriors currently have nine players listed on the injury report ahead of their Sunday night game against the New York Knicks.

While Golden State recently signed Omer Yurtseven to a contract in hopes of adding another big man contributor to the roster, the game against New York does not look like one in which the team expects to win.

Speaking recently about the injury concerns across the roster, head coach Steve Kerr dropped a telling quote.

“We’re going through it,”Kerr said. “We’re about as beaten up as any team I can ever remember.”

Additionally, the Warriors will only have nine players available to play against the Knicks.

The Warriors will only have the following players available today vs. Knicks:

Among those include Brandin Podziemski, Gary Payton II, Gui Santos, Will Richard, Pat Spencer, LJ Cryer, Malevy Leons, Nate Williams, and Yurtseven, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com.

Golden Statehas already dealt with several major injuries this season, but at this point in the year, this is the largest number of playersthey’ve had listed on the injury report. All of GoldenState’s top contributors will be out, and many of the players set to see major action on Sunday have either played minimal minutes so far this year or have spent a decent amount of time in the G-League.

As for the Knicks, they have Josh Hart and Jeremy Sochan listed as probable, while Miles McBride will be out for the game.

Over the past few weeks, the 23-year-old has taken advantage of the team being without many of its top contributors, ashe’s averaged 18.8 points per game inthe month of March. It’s up from his season-scoring average of 12.8 points, but the quote comes as the Warriors are facing their biggest injury issues of the season, and the record has reflected that, despite his increased performances.

In the past ten games, Golden State has gone 3-7, and at 32-34 on the year, has slipped down the Western Conference standings, looking destined to be in the Play-In Tournament once again.

But while the injuries to someof the key playersmight not betoolong-term,Curry’s ‘runner’s knee‘has been perhaps the biggest concern facing the team over the past few months. However, according to Anthony Slater, the star is set on making a return soon.

The Warriors will rule out Steph Curry for another 10 days, stretching five more games, sources tell me and @ShamsCharania. There has been notable progress. He’s back on the court and expected to intensify workouts in upcoming days. Absence will reach at least 20 games.

Curryis set tobe re-evaluated on March 21, and while there is still no direct timeline for areturn, he expects to come back once heis fully cleared from his knee injury, which could, in turn, take away from some ofPodziemski’s minutes and offensive responsibility.

The Warriors take on the Knicks on Sunday, March 15, at 8 pm EST in Madison Square Garden on NBC.
