NFL fans aren't happy with Sunday Night Football's decision on Cris Collinsworth for 2026 and beyond.
NBC announced that longtime analyst Tony Dungy will not return in 2026. He's been ousted after his 17th season. Dungy confirmed the news on social media.
"I have been informed by NBC that I won't be back with FNIA this fall and it has given me time to reflect and also to look ahead," he announced.
"It's disappointing news but I want to thank my NBC family for making the last 17 years so special. I'll have lasting memories of my time there, especially with Rodney Harrison who has become a tremendous friend."
Collinsworth, meanwhile, is safe.

Collinsworth will officially return in 2026. Collinsworth has signed a contract that'll run through the 2029-30 season.
He's not going anywhere.
"He has solidified his place as football's most sagacious color commentator," The New York Times wrote in 2023.
Meanwhile, other changes are possible to SNF.
"Awful Announcing has learned that it is unlikely analyst Rodney Harrison will return next season and that Jac Collinsworth's role on the show is also in question. Along with Dungy, the trio made up the show's satellite studio that traveled on-site to each Sunday Night Football game throughout the season," the outlet reported.
"Awful Announcing has also learned that those involved with the Football Night in America team are frustrated by how the news is unfolding, with some hearing about potential changes through media reports instead of directly from NBC."
NFL fans not happy with NBC's decision
NFL fans are hoping that NBC would consider a change.
"If I could invent a device that hooks up to the TV and filters out C Collinsworth I'd be a millionaire in about a week…" one fan wrote.
"Apparently the 'suits' making these decisions have never searched on line for feedback on Collinsworth. People are so tired of his non-stop dribble of useless 'facts' and constant yapping about who knows what. For the viewers, find your mute button on the remote and plan to wear it out," one fan added.
"I don't watch games with Collinsworth, never liked him," one fan added.
"Collinworth should have been the first to go, hes awfullllllll!!!!!!" one fan added.
Should NBC be making a change with Collinsworth, too?
