[Joan Laporta](/barcelona-news/114376/barcelona-confirm-its-joan-laporta-vs-victor-font-as-presidency-race-hots-up) is on course to be re-elected as president of Barcelona and continue at the helm of the club for another term.
The first results have just been announced by the club and show that with a half the votes counted, Laporta has 69.19% of the vote, compared to 28.76% for Victor Font.
The early indications therefore are that Laporta is going to win by a large margin, with the 63-year-old having already been seen celebrating with his team before the results had even been announced.
Laporta was seen celebrating with the team after the game and looks set for more celebrations overnight as votes continue to roll in ahead of a final announcement.
