In the vote held by club members on Sunday, Laporta won the election with 32,934 votes, representing 68.18% of the total.
Therefore, Joan Laporta will lead the club for the fourth time, following his previous spells as president from 2003 to 2010 and again from March 2021, when he won 30,184 votes (54.28%).
Five years after the last election, the Joan Laporta candidacy has emerged victorious once again, defeating rival Victor Font, who received 14,385 votes (29.78%), while 984 votes were cast blank (2.04%).
"This is a resounding result and it gives us great strength. It makes us unstoppable. No one will stop us," Laporta said after winning the election. "Exciting years lie ahead. They will be the best of our lives."
