One Chelsea owner spoke to Andrey Santos just before Liam Rosenior was announced as the club’s new manager.
Santos recently gave an interview where he discussed various subjects, including how the South Americans at Chelsea can make training very competitive.
He has also discussed one conversation that he had with a Chelsea owner and director at the start of the year.

Andrey Santos was told about Liam Rosenior incoming before teammates
Rosenior was appointed Chelsea manager at the beginning of January, and Santos was the first player at the club to learn about his arrival.
Speaking to Lance, the midfielder revealed: “After the match against Manchester City, one of the directors and an owner showed me the conversation with him. They gave me the news before everyone else.”

Santos would have been delighted to hear the news after enjoying a very strong relationship with Rosenior at Strasbourg.
Rosenior recently hailed Santos as a “special” player, with the 41-year-old relying on him heavily since joining Chelsea.

Santos has been left on the bench in Chelsea’s last couple of matches, but he has still been an important player for Rosenior.
In total, the Brazilian has started five out of the nine Premier League games that his manager has taken charge of. Santos has also started all of Chelsea’s FA Cup matches, while he was in the first XI for both of their clashes against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
Is Andrey Santos now quietly Chelsea’s best midfielder?👀

Santos started in the Blues’ final Champions League league phase game, too, which was a 3-2 win over Napoli. The 21-year-old is quite tidy on the ball and capable of winning it back, so it is not hard to see why Rosenior is such a fan.
According to FotMob, Santos’ average pass success rate is 89.6%, while he makes 2.51 tackles and 1.67 interceptions per 90 minutes. Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Santos, but Rosenior will not approve of a sale and Chelsea would have to be silly to agree to one in the first place. In Santos, they have a top midfielder.
