Speculation that Ben White could be moving to Everton in the summer has reignited with the news that Arsenal are looking at right-back alternatives.
Although their attempts to sign White in the January window were rebuffed – Mikel Arteta did not want to sanction a sale in the middle of the season – it appears that the Spaniard is already casting eyes in the direction of Newcastle’s Tino Livramento as a possible replacement, although Manchester City are also monitoring his situation.
White, who is currently injured, has played just five Premier League games for the Gunners all season, with his last league start coming back in January.
And with Jurrien Timber having nailed down the right-back spot in the team, it appears White’s future may lie away from the Emirates. Timber had to come off injured in the match against Everton, but instead of turning to White, who was available again, Mikel Arteta opted for Christina Mosquera as his replacement.
That is despite the fact that White still has two years left on his current contract.
