Slavko Vincic has been confirmed as the referee for the second leg of Chelsea’s last 16 Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
Chelsea fans have probably forgotten about Vincic, but the Slovenian officiating the game is very good news for the Blues.
In all of the previous Chelsea games that Vincic has taken charge of, the Club World Cup winners have been very successful.

Chelsea have won all four of their games under Slavko Vincic’s watch
Chelsea actually have a 100% record in matches officiated by Vincic. The last match he refereed involving Chelsea was their 3-0 win against Barcelona earlier this season.
It was an unforgettable night at Stamford Bridge, with Estevao Willian scoring an exceptional goal.
Estevao is unlikely to return from injury until after the international break, which would be a blow for Chelsea, who take on Everton after their match against PSG.
Liam Rosenior’s side need a win following their 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at home.
Who do you prefer – Liam Rosenior or Enzo Maresca?

The other Chelsea games that Vincic has officiated include clashes against Benfica, Porto and Dynamo Kyiv.
Those victories came in the 2025 Club World Cup, 2020/21 Champions League and 2018/19 Europa League, competitions that Chelsea went on to win in those seasons.
It is a good sign ahead of Tuesday night, but turning around a three-goal deficit against the European champions does seem like an impossible task.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia rates Chelsea highly and thinks they are a good team despite downing them in the first leg, but they are going to have to be the perfect team to have any chance of making it to the quarter-finals.
