Arsenal are now on the home straight in the Premier League title race
Arsenal are now firmly in the box-seat as they look to end their gruelling 22-year wait for the Premier League title.
The Gunners are just seven matches from the finish line, while City still have a game in hand against Crystal Palace that needs to be rescheduled.
Should City win that fixture, they would remain six points adrift of Arsenal, who they also meet at the Etihad Stadium next month on April 19.
Arsenal's maximum points total is 91 while City can only amass 85. In both instances, each side reaching their maximum points total would require them to beat their fellow title challenger.
However, if the Gunners run out victors at the Etihad, they could motor towards glory and wrap up the title at the London Stadium against West Ham on May 9 with a draw - providing they win all of their next four top-flight matches, before then (total of 13 points).

Even if they did not achieve a draw or win at West Ham, they would still have the safety net of a home fixture against Burnley plus a final-day trip to strugglers Crystal Palace.
Nonetheless, Arsenal will want to get over the line as quickly as possible, while City must beat Arsenal at the Etihad to stand a chance of becoming champions again.
They effectively must take maximum points from their final eight matches and still hope Arsenal drop points elsewhere outside of their Etihad showdown.
If City drop further points between now and that crunch meeting and Arsenal continue to win, they could wrap up the title even earlier than the game at West Ham.

Arsenal currently need 16 points from their remaining seven games (five wins and one draw or six wins) to mathematically guarantee they are the champions, though that doesn't account for the fact the two sides play each other in a six-pointer.
That game will ultimately shape the picture and tell us how realistic the chance of a City fightback is between now and the final match on May 24.
The Premier League leaders' final seven matches are as follows: Bournemouth (H), Man City (A), Newcastle (H), Fulham (H), West Ham (A), Burnley (H), Crystal Palace (A).
Meanwhile, City face: Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Burnley (A), Everton (A), Brentford (H), Crystal Palace (H), Bournemouth (A), Aston Villa (H).
