RaKai banned from Twitch after leaking NBA star’s phone number

Streaming star RaKai has been hit with another ban from Twitch after he leaked LaMelo Ball’s phone number, and it could lead to a permanent ban.

RaKai, real name Quvonn Rakai Linder, became one of Twitch’s biggest rising stars in 2025 as he regularly linked up with the likes of Kai Cenat and AMP. However, towards the end of the year, he did find himself suspended from the platform.

The 17-year-old was banned at the end of 2025, claiming it was a two-year suspension from the Amazon-owned platform. Twitch cleared things up, though, stating it was a “visual bug” and that RaKai would be allowed back onto the platform in early 2026.

His 30-day suspension is set to last until April 13, and he actually falls foul of Twitch’s new rule changes on bans, which actually means he won’t be able to stream or use the website’s chatting function for the duration.

“I’m sorry,” RaKai posted on X (formerly Twitter), tagging the Charlotte Hornets star in the post.

RaKai addresses Twitch ban on YouTube

As with his previous ban, RaKai has moved to stream on YouTube in the meantime. It was over there that he stated his next ban will see him lose access to Twitch for good.

However, the streamer did ask for a bit of leeway as he didn’t purposely leak the details.

“I think why they banned me is because I leaked his number. Okay, ban me for one day on Twitch. Ban me for one day. One day. All right, my bad, I’ve been a bad boy. Okay. But, chat, it wasn’t, like, I was like, ‘Oh, my god, chat, look, chat, this LaMelo Ball number!’” he said.

“No! I told my Twitch rep that. They said, ‘None of that can do.’ And they also said, if I banned ever again, I will get permanently banned, for like, life. That’s what they told me, bro.”

In the screenshot regarding his ban, Twitch states that the suspension will be kept on RaKai’s record until March 3, 2028, and he could receive “escalated consequences” for similar rule breaks.

Twitch might also choose to end his suspension early and allow RaKai back onto the platform before mid-April. However, he’ll be on YouTube for the foreseeable future.
