The Gunners went nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table, after they beat Everton 2-0 thanks to goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Max Dowman. The Gunners saw Man City drop points against West Ham, and they are now in pole position to win the league title.

Mikel Arteta will be delighted with several players this season, but one name who has underperformed is left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly, who has all but lost his spot in the starting XI.

He has made just 14 appearances in the Premier League, out of a possible 31, which is a real disappointment for the 19-year-old.

Arsenal in the battle for Lewis Hall

Newcastle defender Lewis Hall is reportedly on the radar of several Premier League clubs, and recent reports have said that Arsenal are eyeing a move for the England international.

According to Caught Offside, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City are seriously considering a move for Hall in the summer transfer window. As far as the Gunners are concerned, they could bring Hall into the side as a backup, and even competition for Riccardo Calafiori.

It may not be an easy deal to complete, as the report indicates that Newcastle would demand around £70m for the 21-year-old. He has made 23 Premier League appearances for the Magpies this season, scoring one goal, and providing one assist.

If the Gunners do manage to sign Hall, it would all but push Lewis-Skelly out of the squad, which would be a massive shame for the Arsenal left back.
