Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen's wife Hailee Steinfeld was up for awards as part of the cast of "Sinners" at the Oscars.
While the football season brings plenty of high-profile moments for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the offseason is bringing those special moments for Allen’s wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld. On Sunday, March 15, Steinfeld’s feature film, “Sinner,” was up for 16 Oscars, putting Allen’s wife at the center stage.
Steinfeld and Allen are expecting their first baby together, so she wasn’t at the ceremony on Sunday. She’s resting up, and Steinfeld has had to miss out on plenty of awards shows this season due to the pregnancy. But, she and Allen were likely watching at home, cheering on the “Sinners” cast as they received a bevy of awards.
“Sinners” had the most nominations of the evening at 16, including the coveted Best Picture, Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Delroy Lindo. So, how many awards did the film receive?

So, “Sinners” was up for 16 Oscars, but how many did the show win? When the evening was over, the film won a total of four awards: Best Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler, Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, Best Cinematography for Autumn Durald Arkapaw and Best Original Score for Ludwig Göransson.
So, it didn’t win Best Picture, which instead went to “One Battle After Another,” but it picked up four important awards, including one for Jordan, who starred opposite Steinfeld in the movie. Plus, the film notched a new record with its 16 nominations, so history was made either way.
Winning Best Picture would have been the cherry on top, but going home with four solid Oscars, including one for her co-star, was still good news for Steinfeld’s latest feature film.
Hailee Steinfeld Discusses Movies and Being Pregnant Ahead of Academy Awards
Speaking with the New York Times in an interview, Steinfeld discussed what it was like being part of this award-winning show. When asked if there were any takeaways people had from the movie that surprised her, she said, “Yes.”
“There were certainly conversations that we had as a cast afterward where we were like, wow, people really picked up on that one line or that one moment,” she said. “here were a couple of those where it was fun to see people pull out just from the top layer to the deepest one.”
Steinfeld added, “I know it’s not maybe answering your question necessarily with a specific thing that stood out to me, but that was it. It was the fact that people of all ages, from all over, went and saw this film and got it.”
She was also asked about her mood going into 2026 and how she feels about being a new mother. “As somebody who likes to plan ahead as far as possible and know where I was going to be, when, at what point and what I was going to be doing,” she said. “I’ve really leaned into taking everything one day at a time, let alone one month at a time.
She added, “I have no idea what the future holds and looks like necessarily. And that’s exciting to me.”
