Everything you need to know about Chelsea's settlement with the Premier League after breaching rules...

Financial penalties:Chelsea has been fined a total of £10.75million. This comprises a £10m fine for historical financial reporting breaches and an additional £750,000 fine related to a separate investigation into specific academy transactions.

Immediate academy ban: The club has been handed an immediate nine-month ban on registering academy players. This restriction applies specifically to youth players - aged Under 9s and above - who have been registered with another Premier League or EFL club within the preceding 18 months.

Suspended first-team ban: The Premier League have imposed a one-year transfer ban on the first team. Crucially, this ban is suspended for two years, meaning it will only be triggered if the club commits further breaches during that period.

Historical nature of breaches: The investigation focused on "undisclosed payments" made between 2011 and 2018 under previous ownership. These payments were made to players, unregistered agents, and other third parties but were not reported to the football authorities at the time.

Self-reporting and mitigation: The current ownership voluntarily disclosed the potential breaches to the Premier League in 2022. The league cited this "exceptional cooperation" and proactive self-reporting as significant mitigating factors that prevented more severe punishments, such as a points deduction.

PSR compliance and further probes: The settlement confirms that the club did not exceed the maximum allowable loss of £105 million during the periods in question. However, the club still faces a separate disciplinary investigation from the Football Association (FA) regarding these matters.
