The Seattle Seahawks have a ray of light for a Maxx Crosby trade, even after the pass rusher says he's staying in Las Vegas.

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a Super Bowl victory, and now, the focus is on getting the team back to the big game. Having an elite pass rusher would help, and now, the team has some rekindled hope for getting a Maxx Crosby trade done.

Of course, Crosby has already said that he’s playing with the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2026-27 season, but that’s not guaranteed, according to NFL analyst Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. So, the saga of Crosby continues, and now, there’s once again the possibility of the Raiders being open to trading Crosby, according to this new report.

Crosby’s offseason has been a rocky one. The defensive end was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in a high-profile deal, but the Ravens reversed the deal days later and signed pass rusher Trey Hendrickson instead. Before the Ravens trade, the Seattle Seahawks were one of the teams in the running to get Crosby.

A Maxx Crosby Trade Isn’t Out of the Question, NFL Expert Says

On Sunday, March 15, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN dropped some interesting comments about Crosby. While the defensive end has said that he’s going to play for the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2026-27 season, Fowler says that could absolutely change.

During an appearance on SportsCenter on Sunday, according to Bleacher Report, Fowler said that even though Crosby says he’s a Raider, Las Vegas may still trade him.

“Everybody seems like they’re in a good spot, but since they’ve already looked at trading, they’re open to that possibility, potentially, if the right offer would come,” Fowler said during his appearance. “We’re looking at timelines here; now is gonna be a little slow, but you get closer to the draft, perhaps trade offers will heat up, or even maybe closer to the season.”

He continued, “But right now, he’s a Raider, and that’s expected for at least a little while.” So, if this move were to happen, it may be down the road, but it leaves the door open for the Dallas Cowboys or any other NFL team to still consider trading for him.

According to NFL research, during the 2025-26 NFL regular season, Crosby recorded 73 total tackles, 10 sacks, 28 tackles for loss and one interception.

Another Maxx Crosby Trade Would Shake Up the NFL Again

The first Crosby trade was massive, and then the reversal of the deal was an even bigger news story. Crosby being traded yet again, even after he declared that he’s staying in Las Vegas, would be almost too much for the NFL world to handle.

“Raider Nation has given me everything,” Crosby said in a since-deleted post on X after he thought he was going to the Ravens. “My family, had the chance to get married, have the most beautiful daughter in the world, grow as a man, as a player, as a leader, a human being.”

Now, we’ll wait and see if Crosby does end up on the trading block at some point. Either way, the Seahawks are making moves to solidify their lineup for the 2026-27 season.
