Chloe Kim revealed on Not Skinny But Not Fat that she and Myles Garrett were set up by her physical therapist after she was "venting" about why she'd be "single forever"
Kim said the therapist set up a FaecTime call so the two could meet while Kim was training for the X Games in 2025
Garrett sent Kim a message right after her practice that day and the two have messaged "every day since" that first conversation, she said
Chloe Kim says her physical therapist set her up with her boyfriend Myles Garrett.
The three-time Olympic medalist, 25, shared the story of how she and the NFL star met and began dating during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on Friday, March 13.
Kim said she and Garrett, who first sparked romance rumors in May 2025, share a "mutual friend" who handles connecting the athletes with various specialists such as physical therapists. During the X Games earlier that year, Kim was "kind of venting" to a therapist named Vinh, who also knew Garrett, about why she was frustrated with dating.

"I was like, 'I can't date anymore, like, I'm done, I'm just gonna be single forever.' I was being so dramatic," she told listeners. "I was like, 'I'm gonna get a sperm donor. I don't need a man.' "
When her physical therapist, whom she spoke highly of in a 2023 interview with Bustle, asked what she's looking for in a boyfriend, Kim said she wants someone "tall, handsome, kind, close with their family," before adding, "and I want somebody that's equally as successful as me, if not more."
When host Amanda Hirsch asked Kim if she dealt with "a lot of guys that couldn't handle" her success, Kim said, "I think so." "I just want someone to not be intimidated by me and my success," Kim said.
Kim went on to reveal that Vinh then asked, "What about Myles?"
The snowboarder wasn't familiar with the NFL star, but she agreed to "talk to him" because she was "bored in Aspen" at the time.

"Myles was in Cabo on vacation," Kim recalled of the FaceTime, which served as both a catch-up for Vinh to go over a "couple things work related" with the NFL star and for Garrett and Kim to be introduced. "It was so quick, like, 'Hey, what's up?', " Kim shared, describing the first conversation as "super small talk."
Kim said she assumed she would "never hear from this man again" after what she thought was a "one and done" FaceTime, but Vinh shared the snowboarder's number with Garrett, who texted her right away to ask how her practice for X Games went.
"Do I have really low standards or is that really sweet?," Kim joked on the podcast before revealing Garrett has texted her "every day since" that first message.
After Kim won her silver medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, where Garrett was there supporting her, she told PEOPLE the pair "don't really talk about our jobs" much in their relationship, adding, “Getting a break from work and just enjoying each other’s company is nice."
