Report: Liam Rosenior considers Chelsea star 'irreplaceable' amid exit talk

Enzo Fernandez has been one of Chelsea’s most important players since Liam Rosenior’s arrival at the start of the year.

However, Fernandez continues to be linked to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

After his performance against them in France, it would not be a surprise if PSG bid for Fernandez in the summer.

How much would Enzo Fernandez cost if Chelsea tried to buy him today? 🤔 💰

Liam Rosenior considers Enzo Fernandez ‘irreplaceable’

Unsurprisingly, Rosenior is keen for Fernandez to remain at Stamford Bridge beyond the 2025/26 campaign.

According to Argentine outlet TyC Sports, Rosenior considers Fernandez “irreplaceable”. The midfielder has started all nine of Chelsea’s Premier League games under Rosenior.

The same outlet, though, has claimed that Fernandez is ready to take the next step in his career, which is not good news for the Blues.

Who would you like to see replace Enzo Fernandez if he leaves Chelsea this summer?

That being said, the 25-year-old has a contract until 2032. If Chelsea do not want to sell him, they clearly do not have to.

His situation will be one to watch when the transfer window opens.

Why Enzo Fernandez shouldn’t be sold for any price this summer

Even if Fernandez pushes for a move, Chelsea should not entertain the idea of a sale. Again, they are not under any pressure because of the length of his contract.

As well as that, the Argentine will be hard to replace. The Conference League holders are not going to find another midfielder who can make late runs into the box and score.

As a No.8 and number No.10 this season, Fernandez has been one of Chelsea’s most dangerous players. In 44 appearances across all competitions, he has scored 12 goals.

In the Premier League, the Argentina international has netted eight times, meaning that only Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer have more goals than him.

Real Madrid’s and PSG’s interest is likely to remain if Fernandez continues to play the way he has been. But the ball is firmly in Chelsea’s court because of that long contract they have tied the former Benfica man down to.
