The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the busiest and most talked about teams in the NFL throughout the early stages of the 2026 offseason.

Most of that talk has had to do with the Maxx Crosby trade situation. After agreeing to terms on a blockbuster deal with the Las Vegas Raiders that would have sent two first-round picks for Crosby, the Ravens decided to back out of the day.

They backed out of the deal due to a “failed physical,” which was going to happen regardless due to Crosby still recovering from knee surgery. Baltimore faced aggressive backlash for that decision, especially after pivoting quickly to signing Trey Hendrickson.

While the rest of the NFL didn’t like the tactic, the Ravens were able to keep their two first-round picks and sign Hendrickson rather than simply trading for Crosby.

Outside of that situation, Baltimore has made other moves. The Ravens have signed safety Jaylinn Hawkins, guard John Simpson, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, and re-signed quarterback Tyler Huntley, along with a few other smaller moves.

There are still some needs for the team to address, one of them coming at wide receiver. With DeAndre Hopkins likely leaving town, Baltimore has been connected to another aggressive move this offseason.

Ravens Linked to Making Aggressive Move for Jauan Jennings

Adding another weapon for Lamar Jackson should be a top priority for the Ravens. They could do no better at this stage of the offseason in free agency than signing former San Francisco 49ers wideout Jauan Jennings.

Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic has suggested Baltimore consider doing just that.

“Widely considered the top free-agent receiver available, Jennings is a big, physical target who makes contested catches and is a weapon in the red zone and on third downs,” Zrebiec wrote.

“He had 15 touchdowns over the past two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers. He’s also an extremely physical blocker on the perimeter, which is important to the Ravens. He still might be primed to make more money than Baltimore wants to pay, but if his market doesn’t materialize, DeCosta should consider pouncing. He’d be a nice fit.”

Jauan Jennings Would Be a Huge Boost for Baltimore’s Offense

Last season with the 49ers, Jennings dealt with some injury trouble and played in 15 games. He caught 55 passes for 643 yards and nine touchdowns.

Back in 2024, the 28-year-old wide receiver caught 77 passes for 975 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games.

What would it cost the Ravens to sign Jennings? Spotrac has suggested a potential contract worth just over $67.8 million over the course of three years. That averages out to being about $22.6 million per year.

Needless to say, that would be a lot of money to invest into Jennings. However, he would be an upgrade over Hopkins and would be a wise investment into Jackson.

Whether or not Baltimore will actually pursue signing Jennings remains to be seen. It’s an option that is worth keeping an eye on as free agency advances.
