Patriots announce 2026 coaching staff with key change

The Patriots announced their 2026 coaching staff Monday.

Former defensive coordinator Terrell Williams is now the team’s assistant head coach. Zak Kuhr replaced Williams last month after serving as the interim defensive coordinator for most of the season. Vinny DePlama, a defensive assistant last year and former linebacker at Boston College, has succeeded Kuhr as the Patriots’ inside linebackers coach.

Charles London (offensive analyst), Jonathan Decoster (offensive line assistant) and BJ Edmonds (defensive assistant) are new to the Patriots’ staff. London spent the last two seasons coaching quarterbacks for the Jets (2025) and Seahawks (2024). He previously crossed paths with Mike Vrabel in Tennessee (2023) and Houston (2015-17).
