The Clippers listed Leonard as out after the forward was diagnosed with a left ankle sprain, per Underdog NBA. The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of Los Angeles 118-109 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.
Leonard twisted his left ankle with 9:27 remaining in the game and was forced to leave the court. The two-way star limped to the locker room and did not return for the rest of the contest.
The absence of Leonard is a big blow for the Clippers, as he has been one of the team's main offensive and defensive leaders throughout the season. The veteran forward continues to play at an elite level on both ends of the floor.
