The Kansas City Chiefs have been rather active in free agency, and the franchise's last move is a rather interesting one.
With Patrick Mahomes sidelined with an ACL injury and Garner Minshew elsewhere, it left Chris Oladokun as the only quarterback on the roster.
But not now.
The Chiefs have traded for New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields to come to the AFC West, with a 2027 sixth-round pick heading to New York.
Fields in an Andy Reid offense? That's rather intriguing.

Fields could finally thrive with Chiefs
We know that Fields has struggled for most of his NFL career, and now he might finally have landed in a spot where he can thrive.
Given Mahomes' injury, Fields could take some starting reps to begin the offseason, and with Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator, plus weapons in Rashee Rice, Kenneth Walker, Xavier Worthy, and Travis Kelce, this is Fields' best collection of talent he's ever had.
Plus, Reid's offensive wizardry will put Fields in a position to succeed.
If Mahomes isn't ready for Week 1, it could be Fields, in a Reid system and a handful of top weapons.
Kansas City could get off to a flying start before welcoming back Mahomes.
That's not good for the AFC, which is hoping another poor season is on the way from Kansas City.
