New England Patriots predicted to sign Dolphins polarizing star who is coming off a gruesome leg injury

The New England Patriots have done a good job building a team recently, but might still need more around young quarterback Drake Maye.

With recent news shutting down rumors about a potential trade involving A.J. Brown, the Patriots have to turn their attention elsewhere.

One intriguing move would be veteran Tyreek Hill, who is one of the most exciting players in NFL history to watch. Despite dealing with a significant leg injury, Hill’s track record suggests that he’d still make a major impact if and when healthy.

Hill was great with the Miami Dolphins, but the team decided to release him for cap reasons and other factors.

The Patriots should absolutely try to benefit from that.

Wynston Wilcox of FanSided thinks the Patriots should sign Hill as a short-term option to give them a legit star if he’s ready to go eventually next year.

“Yes, Tyreek Hill is coming off a major leg injury and yes that will most likely play a role in his production. But New England still needs a true No. 1 target.

“Hill, for now, can be that for them. Romeo Doubs was brought in to be the future top target. For a year, Hill can be the go-to guy. Let’s not forget, his first two seasons in Miami he eclipsed 1,700 receiving yards. With Drake Maye throwing to him, he’ll no doubt improve this offense,” he wrote.

New England would be taking a risk here, but if Hill could be had for cheap, there’s not much of a reason not to give it a shot.
