Alie-Cox is the second-longest tenured member of the Colts behind only long snapper Luke Rhodes, who joined the team in 2016. Alie-Cox was signed to the Colts' practice squad in 2017 and made his NFL debut in 2018. Since 2019, Alie-Cox has missed just one game due to injury; he's appeared in 95 consecutive regular season games, the second-longest active streak for any offensive player in the NFL (behind only Atlanta Falcons left tackle Jake Matthews).
With the Colts, Alie-Cox will continue in a tight end room featuring 2025 first-round pick Tyler Warren, the [recently re-signed Drew Ogletree](https://www.colts.com/news/drew-ogletree-re-signed-nfl-free-agency-2026-run-blocking-pass-catching-career-touchdowns) and 2023 fifth-round pick Will Mallory, among others.
Alie-Cox, famously, did not play football in college – though he starred for Virginia Commonwealth's men's basketball team, which reached the NCAA Tournament in all four of his collegiate seasons.
