Minnesota Timberwolves Make Anthony Edwards Announcement Before Suns Game

On Tuesday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Phoenix Suns at the Target Center.

The Timberwolves are coming off a 116-113 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Anthony Edwards finished with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block while shooting 6/17 from the field and 2/5 from three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

For Tuesday’s game, the Timberwolves have announced the news that Edwards has been ruled out.

Timberwolves PR wrote: “Minnesota @Timberwolves Status Report in advance of tomorrow night’s game vs. Phoenix Suns:

Edwards in the middle of another elite season with averages of 29.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.2% from the field and 40.2% from three-point range in 58 games.

He is in his sixth NBA season out of Georgia.

Real App wrote (on March 14): “Anthony Edwards now has the 4th most points by a player before turning 25 in NBA history. He passes Carmelo Anthony.”

The Timberwolves are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 41-27 record in 68 games.

They have won six out of their last ten games.

Following the Suns, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Wednesday night when they host the Utah Jazz.

At the Target Center, they have gone 22-12 in 24 games.

On the other side of Tuesday’s matchup, the Suns are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 39-28 record in 67 games.

They will play the Celtics (in Boston) on Monday.

On the road, the Suns are 17-15 in 32 games played outside of Arizona.
