AccordingtoIan Rapoport ofNFLNetwork,the49ershavereachedanagreementwithveteranwidereceiverChristian Kirk,addinganotherexperiencedpass-catchertotherosterastheteamlookstosurroundquarterbackBrock Purdy withmoreprovenweapons.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that Kirk’s one-year deal is worth $6 million.
Kirk,29,bringseightyearsofNFLexperienceandatrackrecordasareliableslotreceiver who can stretch the field and movethechains.
Duringthe2025season with the Houston Texans,Kirkappearedin13gamesandfinishedwith28receptionsfor239yardsandonetouchdown. Whilethosenumbersweremodestcomparedtosomeofhisearlierseasons,theveteranwideouthasconsistentlyshowntheabilitytocontributeinmultiplerolesthroughouthiscareer.
Over two playoff appearances in 2025, Kirk hauled in 164 yards on ten receptions and scored two touchdowns (the most of any AFC wide receiver during the NFL postseason).
