Arsenal scouts spotted keeping close tabs on top Chelsea target who's been compared to Baleba

Arsenal scouts have now been spotted keeping a close eye on a young Chelsea target, who finds himself at the centre of a Premier League battle.

Dowman goal "one of the best moments" of reign, says Arteta

On the same weekend that Manchester City dropped points at the London Stadium against West Ham United, 16-year-old Max Dowman found himself racing towards an open goal and racing towards history in North London.

That right there is the sign of champions. When everything, even the absurd records, come together for one side chasing their first Premier League title since doing it invincible.

It was one of the moments of the season. Perhaps even the moment of the season, and Mikel Arteta couldn't hide his own joy at full-time.

The Spaniard told reporters: "It was a phenomenal moment.

"We talked before the game to play with that relentless desire to win every action and have the conviction that we are going to find a way to do it, and the effort, the quality, the commitment of the players was sensational, and then it ended up in a manner that probably none of us expected.

Arsenal have already agreed to sign the next Max Dowman in 2027

Max Dowman became the youngest goal scorer in Premier League history on Saturday.

"It was one of the best moments that we lived together at the Emirates."

The Gunners aren't doing it the elegant way, but they remain the unstoppable force in the Premier League even if others continue to fall away around them.

They're not stopping here, though. Andrea Berta is already planning for a busy summer transfer window, which could feature the arrival of another young star who is wanted all across the Premier League.

Arsenal scouts spotted watching Yirenkyi

As reported by TeamTalk, Arsenal scouts have been spotted keeping close tabs on Caleb Yirenkyi at Nordsjaelland.

The 20-year-old Nordsjaelland talent is a wanted man in English football and is on the radar of Chelsea, Brighton, Manchester United and Liverpool. To say that he has the world at his feet would be an understatement.

It's Brighton who should be the most keen to win the race. The Seagulls reportedly see Yirenkyi as an ideal replacement for Carlos Baleba if the midfielder leaves the Amex this summer. That comparison, alone, should be music to the ears of Arsenal.

Como scout Ben Mattinson is one of many to have praised the 20-year-old. Dubbing his ground coverage "insane", Yirenkyi has the type of energy to provide Arteta with an ideal alternative for Declan Rice.

It would hand the Arsenal boss a long-term solution that Christian Norgaard certainly won't provide and would go a long way to improving his side's depth even further.

If the Gunners can beat the rest of the Premier League to his signature, then Yirenkyi will be one to watch.
