Report: Chelsea flop offered move away from Stamford Bridge as he could look to revive his…

According to reports, Mykhailo Mudryk has been offered a move away from Chelsea as he looks to revive his career. The winger has not played since 2024, when the FA charged him with violating anti-doping rules, for which he could serve a four-year ban.

Signing from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89m in 2023, he managed just 10 goals and 11 assists in 73 appearances for the Blues. This underwhelming return saw him labelled a flop before his ban left him in footballing purgatory.

Reports have suggested that the 25-year-old is not expected to serve the full length of his ban, and Mudryk even posted a message in early 2026, where he seemed optimistic about his future, telling fans: "Please don't give up on me, as I [have] not given up on myself. Can't wait to see you soon."

He was also pictured training at the stadium of non-league side Uxbridge FC, having hired their 3G surface along with his privately-funded coaching team. Amid all this, it now looks as though the player could be set for a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Could Loan Mudryk

As per L'Equipe, Mudryk could be offered a loan deal away from Chelsea if he is cleared to return to professional sport following the conclusion of the case. The Blues are said to have earmarked a move for him to their sister club, Strasbourg.

He wouldn't be the first player to switch between the two teams, with as many as 12 deals agreed this season alone. On top of players like Ben Chilwell, Aaron Anselmino and Mike Penders, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior also made a move due to the relationship of the clubs.

Losing their manager halfway through the season is why many Strasbourg fans don't like being part of the BlueCo ownership, with some of the club's ultras staying silent for the first 15 minutes of every match in protest. But it does allow the team to pick up some quality talent, which could be the case once again if Mudryk secures a future loan.

As per the Daily Mail, there is still no clarity over when a final decision on Mudryk's doping case will be announced. World Anti-Doping Agency's president Witold Banka hinted at an impasse in November. He said:

"First of all, we are waiting for a disciplinary decision in his case (from the English FA). As of today, we do not know when it will come. Then, according to the anti-doping code, we will request the player's documentation and will decide whether we agree with this disciplinary decision.

"We can appeal in two cases: if we consider the decision too harsh or too lenient."

Mudryk has denied any deliberate wrongdoing. Immediately after the ban was announced, he wrote: "This has come as a complete shock as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules, and am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened."
