Cleveland Browns Film Room: What the Browns are Getting in Elgton Jenkins

The Cleveland Browns have made improving their offensive line a priority this offseason, and that continued with the signing of former Green Bay Packers OL Elgton Jenkins, a two-time Pro Bowler and one of the most versatile linemen in the league. He's recovering from a serious injury, but if he can return to form, the Browns should have one of the best values in the league, regardless of where he ends up playing.

Coming out of Mississippi State in 2019, Jenkins was a very good athlete with a number of roles already under his belt. He played left tackle for a season and a half, left guard for half a season, and was the Bulldogs' center for his final two seasons. Despite primarily being an interior player, he met the OT arm length threshold of 34 inches (and played there for Green Bay in 2021) and stood over 6 feet 4 inches. The Packers took him in the second round, and he was the team's starting left guard for two years with some spot starts at C thrown in. He's also seen extended time at both tackle spots, with the only thing he hasn't done is play right guard.
