Chelsea captain Reece James might not play again this campaign, according to RMC Sport reporter Fabrice Hawkins.
The journalist, who was the first to break the news that Wesley Fofana would join the Blues a few years ago, posted a pessimistic update about James’ latest injury on X:
“Reece James’s unavailability is estimated at 2 months following this new hamstring tear.”
“Chelsea’s captain has a slim hope of playing again with the Blues at the very end of the season. Confirmed out for Chelsea/PSG.”

How many matches could James miss?
The 26-year-old could be sidelined for seven of the Blues’ eight remaining Premier League fixtures, which include Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, and Tottenham.
James will also be missing for the FA Cup quarter-final versus Port Vale, and the semi-final if Liam Rosenior’s side do progress to the last four.
If the defender is out for precisely two months, there is a slight chance that he could play in the FA Cup final (if the team reach that stage), as well as the final league game of the campaign versus Sunderland. Buy Reece James shirts, apparel and souvenirs from the official Chelsea store here.
