Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer has been linked with a shock move to join rivals Man United in the summer.
Palmer has struggled for consistency this season, amid mixed form and injury problems, and rumours sparked over the winter that he was unsettled and would like to move closer to home in Manchester, back to his boyhood club, Man United.
However, Liam Rosenior quickly shut down these reports by saying that Palmer was happy at Chelsea, but the rumours are still swirling in the background, causing Palmer’s future to be uncertain heading into the summer.
This season, Palmer has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists.

Former Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge has sent a message to Palmer suggesting that he should stay at Chelsea where he is the main man. He has made the comparison to Mason Mount, who joined Man United, and has since struggled to find consistent form.
Bridge told 10bet: “It probably makes sense for Cole Palmer because he’s a Man United fan. But personally, I don’t know him, so I wouldn’t know what he’s thinking. It might make sense for Manchester United – every club would love to take Cole Palmer – but it doesn’t make sense for Chelsea. As an ex-Chelsea player, I’d be gutted if he went there.
“I’d have a word with him and say, ‘Look, remember what happened to Mason Mount — come on now, don’t go anywhere. ‘He’s the main man at Chelsea. Chelsea wants to build the team around Cole Palmer.”
Mount joined Man United for a fee of £58m in the summer of 2023. He has since scored just seven goals and provided just two assists in 66 matches during his time at Old Trafford. If the same were to happen to Palmer, it would be a loss to Chelsea, to Man United, to England, and to Palmer himself.
