Maalik Hashi’s early free kick proved to be decisive as Arsenal U18s returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory away to West Bromwich Albion today.
Coach Adam Birchall made three changes to the side that lost to Ipswich Town, with Angelinou Pedro, Brando Bailey-Joseph and Kyran Thompson replacing Abraham Owusu-Gyasi, Saurap Sampang and Alex Marciniak.

Hashi put Arsenal in front in the fourth minute with a free-kick after Louis Zecevic John was fouled.
Arsenal went into the break in the lead but there was a triple substitution in the 55th minute with Alex Marciniak, Saurap Sampang and Abraham Owusu-Gyasi all coming on.
Bowen Phillips also later entered the fray and Arsenal managed to see out the game despite West Brom substitute Justin Seven-Seven hitting the woodwork late on.
Arsenal’s victory saw them end a run of three games without a win. They are back in action on Saturday with a home game against Fulham.
