The Philadelphia 76ers have won two straight games and they’ll look to make it three against the Nuggets in Denver on Tuesday night.
Unfortunately for the Sixers, they’ll continue to be without star center Joel Embiid for the game.
Joel Embiid ruled out vs. Nuggets due to right oblique strain
Embiid has been ruled out of the game in Denver due to a right oblique strain. It will be the 10th consecutive game missed by the big man. His last game action came against the Miami Heat on Feb. 26. It remains to be seen when Embiid might be able to return to game action.
On the season, Embiid has played in just 33 games for Philadelphia and posted averages of 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per performance.
Embiid's absence is obviously a bummer for fans who were hoping to see a battle between two of the best big men in the league in Embiid and Nuggets center Nikola Jokic.
It will be the second and final meeting of the season between Philadelphia and Denver. The Nuggets pulled out a 125-124 victory over the Sixers back on Jan. 5.
