Report: Steelers Host Two More Draft Prospects, Including QB Carson Beck

The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted two pre-draft visitors Tuesday according to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Christopher Carter. Miami (FL) QB Carson Beck and San Diego State CB Chris Johnson were in on Tuesday afternoon to meet with the team.

This is the first quarterback they have met with according to reports, and a notable one given NFL insider Todd McShay’s recent report of the Steelers’ interest in him.

Beck was the quarterback for the National Championship runner-up Miami Hurricanes in 2025, but spent the first five seasons of his college career with Georgia, where he played a small role in a pair of National Championship seasons.

In 2025, Beck completed 338 of his 467 attempts (72.4 percent) for 3,813 yards, 30 TDs, and 12 INTs. He led his conference in completions and completion rating in 2025.

Chris Johnson is viewed as one of the top corners in the class, projected to likely be taken off the board in the first or second round.

Including local prospect Khalil Dinkins, who doesn’t count against the 30-visit limit, the Steelers are now up to six reported visits. Check out the full list of pre-draft visitors below.
