New Las Vegas Raiders OL Tyler Linderbaum.

2025 was a miserable year for the Las Vegas Raiders. The team only won three games and had the worst offense in the NFL.

Instead of doubling down on Pete Carroll, the Raiders fired him after one season. This offseason, the team hired former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to be the head coach.

Though the Raiders are rebuilding, they decided against playing it safe this offseason ahead of Kubiak’s first year. They have been among the biggest spenders in free agency and have added several potential impact players.

Perhaps the player who has the most to be excited about is running back Ashton Jeanty. The first-round pick from just a year ago struggled to make a consistent impact as a rookie, but should be set up for success in Year 2. While Kubiak’s scheme will help Jeanty, the addition of Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum will change things for the offense.

Jeanty couldn’t hide his excitement about the Raiders’ offseason.

“I’m not going to lie, the moves we made (are) astronomical. They’ve been great so far. Kubiak, Spytek, they cookin’. They cooking right now, bro. They overly cooking,” Jeanty said when answering fan questions on a livestream. “Am I happy we got Tyler [Linderbaum]? Come on, bro. What kind of question is that? It’s up this year.”

Jeanty Excited for Season

Jeanty’s rookie season had to be a bit of a reality check. He was borderline unstoppable in college and nearly broke the record for rushing yards in a season. As a rookie, he couldn’t even get to 1,000 rushing yards.

Linderbaum is an elite run blocking offensive lineman, and Kubiak is a coach who wants to run the ball early and often. Jeanty is feeling good about the upcoming season.

“How do I feel about my new center? I feel good. I feel great, man,” Jeanty said. “Excited for the new coach, for sure. You know, they making some great moves already. I’m excited for the season, bro. It’s going to be great.”

Jeanty Addresses Maxx Crosby Situation

The biggest story surrounding the Raiders this offseason has been regarding defensive end Maxx Crosby. He was the subject of numerous trade rumors before the team eventually agreed on a deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

That deal fell through, and now Crosby has a chance to return to Las Vegas this season. Jeanty isn’t getting his hopes too high in case Crosby still ends up getting traded, but he’s happy about the chance of him being back on the team in 2026.

“I mean, if bro stay, I don’t know. I don’t know if that can happen, but if he stay, bro, the squad is gonna be overly crazy,” Jeanty said. “Maxx is a real one, though. I can’t lie, So, I just hope everything works out for him, bro. The way it’s supposed to.”

With Crosby, the Raiders’ defense actually looks very promising. Perhaps it makes more sense to keep him and see how good the defense can be with him rushing the passer.
