The Chicago Bears could be looking to add another weapon for quarterback Caleb Williams in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
In his latest mock draft, FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt projected the Bears to select Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson with the No. 25 overall pick. The prediction comes as Chicago continues reshaping its offense following the departure of DJ Moore earlier this offseason.
“The Bears said goodbye to DJ Moore recently, so they could use another pass-catcher,” Klatt said. “Tyson’s a big-bodied guy, and I love the idea of quarterback Caleb Williams throwing to larger targets. Williams likes to improvise, and he does that well. It’s the perfect fit.”
Klatt’s projection highlights a clear direction for Chicago. Tyson is viewed by some scouts as having the upside to develop into an elite WR1 at the next level.
Surrounding Caleb Williams with that type of versatile, high-ceiling target could be a major priority as the franchise looks to accelerate its young quarterback’s development heading into 2026.

Tyson has steadily climbed draft boards over the past year thanks to his well-rounded skill set and production at Arizona State. At 6-foot-2, he brings the size and physicality teams covet, particularly in contested-catch situations.
Over his last two seasons at ASU, Tyson caught 136 passes for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns.
One of Tyson’s biggest strengths is his ability to line up across the formation. He has shown comfort playing both outside and in the slot, giving offensive coordinators flexibility when designing matchups. His route running has also taken a noticeable step forward, with smoother breaks and better manipulation of defenders at the top of routes.
Scouts have also pointed to his ball skills and body control as standout traits. Tyson consistently wins at the catch point, using timing and positioning to secure difficult receptions. While he may not possess elite deep speed, he has shown enough burst to stretch the field when needed.
There are still areas for improvement. Tyson has dealt with focus drops at times and has battled injuries throughout his college career. However, his toughness and willingness to play through pain have drawn praise from evaluators.
Bears’ Fit With Caleb Williams Makes Pick Intriguing
What makes Tyson especially appealing for Chicago is how his skill set complements Williams’ playing style.
Williams thrives when plays break down, often extending drives with his mobility and creativity outside the pocket. Receivers who can adjust on the fly and win in contested situations become extremely valuable in those moments. Tyson fits that mold well.
His size gives Williams a reliable target in tight windows, while his ability to work all three receiver spots could help diversify the Bears’ passing attack. Tyson’s presence would also ease pressure on the rest of the receiving corps by adding another dependable option on key downs.
If Klatt’s projection holds, the Bears would be making a clear statement about their offensive identity moving forward.
Adding a versatile, high-upside receiver like Tyson could be a key step in building around their franchise quarterback.
