The Ravens and C Danny Pinter have reached agreement on a deal, per source.

Baltimore gets much-needed help at center. Pinter spent five seasons with Indianapolis.

Adding Pinter comes at a crucial time, as Tyler Linderbaum went to sign a three-year $81 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pinter, a former fifth-round selection of the Colts, started his career as a guard before making the switch to center in the 2024 season.

The new Raven did get much playing time in the 2025 season, playing just 138 offensive snaps, as he was the backup to Tanor Bortolini.

“The Colts have long had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. While Pinter, who was originally a fifth-round pick out of Ball State in 2020, hasn’t become a full-time starter yet, he could with a change of scenery,” Ravens editorial director Ryan Mink wrote.

“The Ravens were disappointed to lose Linderbaum in free agency but have faith in their ability to develop young linemen… The 6-foot-4 Pinter would join Corey Bullock… and potentially Jovaughn Gwyn… as the top competitors for the starting center spot as of now.”

Second Colt Offensive Lineman to Leave This Free Agency

Danny Pinter isn’t the only member of the 2025 Indianapolis Colts roster to find a new team, as O-lineman Braden Smith left the organization as well.

The right tackle signed a two-year, $20 million contract with the Houston Texans after playing 8 seasons in Indianapolis.

Pro Football Focus gave the tackle a 71.9 pass block grade, which marks him in the upper half of 89 tackles for last season.

The publication ranked the Colts’ offensive line as the second-best in the league, only behind the Denver Broncos. With two members of the offensive front gone, the team will need to work out how to replace them.

But with three core starting returning, Indy’s offensive line is in no way depleted from previous seasons and could perform well again in 2026.

How to Fix the Offensive Line

If there is one thing the Indianapolis Colts are good at, it’s drafting offensive linemen.

All the Colts (or former Colts) listed were drafted to the organization. Danny Pinter, Tanor Bortolini, Braden Smith. All five of Indy’s 2025 O-line were drafted to the organization and not all players were first-round talents.

Chris Ballard can be named the most consistent person in the offensive line scheme, as the team has had multiple coaches throughout his tenure as general manager.

With the GM returning for his 10th season with the organization and in the hot seat, this could be the time for Ballard to get some more talented tools to the offensive line and continue his stretch in Indianapolis.
