Parsons only joined the franchise in the previous season, being traded from the Dallas Cowboys for two first-round picks. He signed a four-year, $188 million extension featuring $136 million guaranteed, at the time the richest non-quarterback contract in NFL history. In only a season, he has earned many fans from his franchise.

The fan posted a photo of Parsons celebrating, and wrote the caption, “My boyyy @MicahhParsons11 it’s my birthday today, I’m only asking for 1 thing, a signed Jersey… MAYBE ?👀” The defensive end promptly shared the post and replied, “🤝‼️happy birthday champ!” The interaction highlighted his friendly nature with fans, and earned him much praise.
However, many wondered whether he fulfilled the fan’s wish to get a signed jersey. Many pointed it out and criticized Parsons for not acknowledging the fan’s birthday wish.
