The Indiana Pacers have struggled without Tyrese Haliburton as the starting point guard. He has missed the entire season with a torn Achilles tendon. He was ruled out for the year before the season started. Without him, Indiana’s offense has stagnated.

Indiana has the worst offense in the league. It’s clear that Haliburton is a bigger part of the team than pundits initially thought. He’ll be back next season. Until then, he has been watching a lot of pro and college basketball. Now, he has some strong thoughts on the NCAA Tournament.

Haliburton has a strong take when it comes to filling out March Madness brackets.

Indiana Pacers Star Guard Tyrese Haliburton Believes Only One Bracket Should be Filled Out

Haliburton believes fans should only fill out one NCAA Tournament bracket. He took to social media to give his take on that.

Make one bracket and stand on it

Millions of Americans fill out brackets for the NCAA Tournament every single year. Haliburton believes that fans should only make one of them instead of filling out multiple ones. Most people fill out different brackets for different groups, which is mostly encouraged.

Perhaps Haliburton believes this because he thinks his alma mater has a shot to win it all. Iowa State is a two-seed in the tournament, so he has a good reason to be excited. With what the Cyclones have done so far this season, that is not too out of the realm of possibility.

Haliburton will have plenty of time to watch the games being played, especially since he won’t be playing in any of the games the Pacers are playing. He just returned to the team after battling a bout of shingles. He continues to work hard in his rehab so he will be fully healthy by the time tomorrow rolls around.

Tyrese Haliburton Has Specific Thoughts on College Basketball

Before the season started, Pacers President Kevin Pritchard mentioned that he might have Haliburton as a scout for the team. Haliburton was certainly able to watch a lot of college basketball this season since he wasn’t actually on the court.

Indiana is hoping to keep their first-round pick this season after trading it to the Clippers for Ivica Zubac. They will keep it if it falls in the 1-4 range or the 10-30 range. They only lose it if the pick falls in the 5-9 range. Haliburton certainly has thoughts on who he would want Indiana to draft.

It would be an issue if the Pacers missed out on drafting someone in this draft. This pick could end up putting them into title contention next season if it falls their way. If it doesn’t the Zubac trade could end up blowing up in their faces, although Zubac is still really good.

The Pacers have yet to win since the All-Star break. They have now lost 13 games in a row and hold a two-game lead for the worst record in the league. It doesn’t look like they will stop tanking anytime soon. The end of this season is how they gear up for a title run in 2026-27.
