The Baltimore Ravens have had a wild rollercoaster ride of a 2026 NFL offseason so far.

After beginning the offseason with a bang by agreeing to trade for Las Vegas Raiders superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby in exchange for two first-round picks, things moved quickly. The Ravens decided to back out of the trade, which caused an onslaught of backlash.

Shortly after backing out of the Crosby trade, Baltimore pivoted to signing former Cincinnati Bengals star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

While some may not have liked the decision from Eric DeCosta and the Ravens’ front office, the team walked away in a better position. Having Hendrickson and two first-round picks is a better equation than only having Crosby.

Outside of the Crosby move, Baltimore has also signed safety Jaylinn Hawkins, guard John Simpson, cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, and also re-signed quarterback Tyler Huntley.

Now, it sounds like the Ravens are showing interest in signing a projected $19.9 million weapon for superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Baltimore Ravens Showing Interest in TE David Njoku

According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, former Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku took a visit with Baltimore on Tuesday.

“Browns free-agent TE David Njoku visited today with the Baltimore Ravens,” Schefter reported on X.

Njoku has spent the last nine seasons with the bitter AFC North rival. After losing Isaiah Likely earlier in free agency, the Ravens could pivot to signing him away from the Browns.

What Would David Njoku Bring to the Ravens’ Offense?

Standing in at 6-foot-4 and nearly 250 pounds, Njoku brings size and athleticism to the field. He’s capable of being a vertical threat or a possession tight end. In addition, he’s a quality red zone threat.

Jackson has had a lot of success throwing to Likely over the last few years. Losing the tight end without replacing him would be a step back offensively.

Last season with Cleveland, the 29-year-old tight end played in 12 games. He caught 33 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns and played a reduced role due to the presence of rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

Throughout his entire nine-year tenure with the Browns, Njoku has totaled 384 receptions for 4,062 yards and 34 touchdowns in 118 games played.

Njoku isn’t going to be the piece that comes in and powers Baltimore to the Super Bowl. He could, however, play an important role within the offense. Alongside of Mark Andrews, he could form a lethal two-man threat at the tight end position.

No deal has been agreed to at this point in time. However, it’s clear that the Ravens are remaining aggressive scouring the NFL free agency market.
