Why Jalen Brunson will not play vs. Pacers? Knicks reveal final injury status

Brunson (ankle, neck) will miss his first Knicks game since mid-January.

The New York Knicks have ruled out Jalen Brunson ahead of their Tuesday home clash against the Indiana Pacers.

Per the Knicks, Brunson will be unavailable because of his right ankle injury management and the cervical strain on the right side of his neck.

This marks the first absence of Brunson for the Knicks since Jan. 17. He was initially listed as questionable, but New York decided to keep him against the Pacers.

Jose Alvarado will fill in as the starting point guard of New York, according to head coach Mike Brown.

Brunson has appeared in 64 games so far this season. He is averaging 26.3 points, 6.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
