As if things couldn’t get any worse for Chelsea last night, vice-captain Enzo Fernandez came out and said he might not be here next season.
Fernandez has had a lot of speculation printed about his Chelsea future anyway, so words like this are going to come as a huge bombshell for Chelsea and their fans this morning.

He was speaking after Chelsea had just been dumped out the Champions League by PSG, losing the two-legged tie 8-2 on aggregate. So the timing for these comments can also be looked at as being completely off, and many Blues fans are left fuming as a result.
But it looks like Fernandez might be weighing up his Chelsea future now after years of promise but not real sustained success.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, a reporter asked, can you guarantee you’re going to stay at Chelsea for the future?
Enzo Fernández: “I don’t know — there are 8 games left and the FA Cup. There’s the World Cup and then we’ll see.”
I have personally felt for some time now that Fernandez will want out of Chelsea in the summer, especially if the club do not get Champions League football. Time will tell if that happens, but it’s not looking good.
