Understandably, Liam Rosenior was a very unhappy man throughout Chelsea’s clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Blues were beaten 3-0 in the second leg of their last 16 match-up, losing the entire tie 8-2 on aggregate.
It was the first time in their history that Chelsea conceded eight goals over two legs in the Champions League.

Liam Rosenior went mad at Chelsea defence after Pedro Neto shot
Early in the game, there was one moment when Pedro Neto had a really good shot, only for it to deflect off one of his teammates.
The winger was positive with his play and worked his socks off. Rosenior would have been satisfied with his contribution.
However, the Chelsea manager was less pleased with his defenders after that phase of play. Journalist Nizaar Kinsella shared on X that Rosenior “went mad at his defence for not getting back in” following Neto’s shot.
Do you think Chelsea should sack Liam Rosenior? Or are you willing to give him more time?🤔

It was a very different looking Chelsea backline, with Mamadou Sarr and Jorrel Hato coming into the side.
The changes had no positive effect, though, with Sarr having a nightmare performance. The young central defender was at fault for PSG’s opener before being taken off at half-time.
Liam Rosenior’s set-up was tragic
Sarr will receive criticism for his error, but Chelsea’s defensive set-up was all wrong from the get-go. It did not look convincing on paper and looked even less convincing in action.
Sarr was terrorised by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the right flank and in the half-space. It was hard to tell what position he was even playing.
With Reece James injured and Malo Gusto ill, Rosenior clearly felt that he had to experiment a bit. Unfortunately, it did not work.
Going forward, that is not a backline or set-up Chelsea supporters will ever want to see again. At this rate, they will not want to see any of Rosenior’s tactics full stop, with fans already turning on the 41-year-old.
