I mean the timing was well off, right? He says all this right after Chelsea are dumped out of the Champions League losing 8-2 on aggregate to PSG. That was embarrassing enough as it was, and now Chelsea’s vice-captain is coming out and saying he could be open to leaving the club soon? Wow.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has given his take on the situation, and is certainly not ruling out a move away for Fernandez.

Jacobs posted on X last night after the PSG defeat:

‘Chelsea won’t sell Enzo for a book loss and there has been no approach for him to date. However, sources say the Argentine would be tempted by a move to LaLiga if the right offer materialised.’

I’ve thought for a while now that Fernandez will end up at Real Madrid soon, especially if we don’t get Champions League football this season.

In other news…

Pundit Owen Hargreaves hadalready given his take on the game and the whole Chelsea project. It was a scathing but true rant at the owners and everything they are doing wrong.
