Arsenal are among several top European clubs monitoring Lewis Hall, with the Newcastle United defender attracting growing interest after a standout season that has prompted strong praise from former manager Harry Redknapp.
Hall has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most in-form full-backs, playing a key role in Newcastle’s domestic and European campaigns. His performances have not only elevated his status within Eddie Howe’s side but also placed him firmly on the radar of clubs seeking reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window.
Reports suggest ARSENAL are closely tracking Hall’s development, although no formal bid has yet been made. The north London club are understood to be assessing options at left-back as they prepare for another title push and a return to Champions League competition next season.
Hall’s rise has been particularly notable in recent months, with the England international delivering a series of high-level displays, including an impressive Champions League performance against Barcelona that drew widespread acclaim.
His form has led to glowing endorsements from within the game, with Redknapp among those to single him out as one of the elite players in his position, he told BetVictor: ‘Lewis Hall is currently one of the best left-backs in world football.
‘What a week he’s had! He kept Lamine Yamal very quiet and then cruised it back at Stamford Bridge. Right now, the left-back spot for England looks like it will be his to lose.’
The defender’s trajectory has also been highlighted by Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes, who recently described Hall as “the best in the world” following a standout display in Europe, further fuelling interest from rival clubs.
Despite the mounting speculation, Newcastle are believed to be reluctant to sanction a sale. The club view Hall as a cornerstone of their long-term project and are reportedly prepared to demand a fee in excess of €80 million should any suitor make a formal approach.
For ARSENAL, any potential move would likely depend on both financial considerations and Newcastle’s willingness to negotiate. Manager Mikel Arteta is known to favour technically proficient defenders capable of contributing in possession, a profile that aligns closely with Hall’s strengths.
Hall’s development since his departure from Chelsea has also become a talking point, with the defender now regarded as a leading contender for England’s left-back role ahead of upcoming international tournaments.
While the transfer window remains months away, the growing interest in Hall underscores his rising reputation within European football. Whether Arsenal follow through with a formal offer remains to be seen, but Newcastle’s stance suggests any deal would be complex.
