Chelsea player booed by his own fans during historic loss to PSG

The disconnect between the Chelsea faithful and Liam Rosenior’s squad reached a new high as Tosin Adarabioyo was greeted by a chorus of boos from the remaining home supporters while being introduced as a 71st-minute substitute against PSG.

Chelsea now find themselves on a three-game losing streak after defeat to PSG, and it’s not about to get any easier with Manchester City and Manchester United coming up in the next four games.

A top-five finish is the bare minimum for a Chelsea side that could see valuable players leave if they don’t secure a Champions League spot, especially after Enzo Fernandez’s admission about his future.

The squad will be tested to the max, with injuries mounting, including the latest blow involving Trevoh Chalobah, a mainstay of this Chelsea side.

And what makes matters worse is the fact that Tosin Adarabioyo, who will likely come in for Chalobah, is already in the bad books with supporters.

Do you think Chelsea should sack Liam Rosenior? Or are you willing to give him more time?🤔

Tosin Adarabioyo booed by the Chelsea supporters vs PSG

In a video shared by MaxFSport, a selection of Chelsea fans could be heard booing Tosin Adarabioyo onto the pitch during the 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

The recent hostility toward Tosin Adarabioyo is the result of a season defined by defensive lapses. Chelsea fans have become increasingly frustrated by his flat-footed positioning in high-stakes matches.

Even though Adarabioyo managed to beat Moises Caicedo’s record against Wrexham, his performance was slightly concerning.

Against PSG, Adarabioyo made four out of four passes, had seven touches, one interception, two recoveries, and one clearance, completing both duels and his only dribble attempt.

Chelsea’s best centre-back partnership after Chalobah’s injury

Liam Rosenior’s defensive options have reached a tipping point following Trevoh Chalobah’s sprain against PSG. With Levi Colwill still limited to modified training after his ACL rupture and Axel Disasi currently thriving on loan at West Ham, there aren’t many options.

While Fofana was benched for the second leg due to muscle fatigue, he remains one of the only established senior options left, provided he can regain the trust of the fanbase.

The alternative is continuing with 20-year-old Mamadou Sarr, Benoit Badiashile, or Tosin Adarabioyo, who have all had their own issues this season.
