Liam Rosenior was asked to try and find some lessons in a thorough hammering from PSG over two legs in the Champions League.
The Chelsea coach never gives you a good answer, but hints at just enough things to keep you interested. He was pretty emotional after a third bad result in a row.
Rosenior on learning which players he can rely on
“I’m learning all the time,” he responded when asked what his big takeaways from the night were.
“It’s my job to assess the group all of the time. What I’m learning is that you have to have players that, in every moment, you can rely on to make correct decisions defensively and not switch off. But also, they were clinical in both games. Clinical shots from outside the box. That’s the level and we need to make sure we get them.”
The real criticism there is a desire for players he can “rely on.” The problem is, he keeps using different players and getting let down by all of them. Look at the list of goalkeepers and central defenders. He’s run through them all.

Joe Cole has tried to stay very patient with this ownership but even he lost his cool this evening.
Owen Hargreaves had already given his take on the game and the whole project.
