Myles Lewis-Skelly is on Everton’s radar heading into the summer – but Arsenal won’t sanction any loan move unless they get ‘guarantees’ over his game time.
There has long been clamour for Everton to purchase new full-backs.
Left-back, in particular, is a position that may Evertonians feel needs tending to, with Vitalii Mykolenko having struggled to convince.
Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?

The Ukraine international is actually out of contract this summer, and the club may well need an actual replacement if he goes. Talks are ongoing to extend Mykolenko’s deal.
But even if he extends his contract, Everton need to be handing him competition, and Lewis-Skelly is seemingly a player David Moyes likes.
But to sign him, the Scot will need to play him.

Caught Offside have reported on Lewis-Skelly’s situation this morning.
They highlight that the youngster has reached a pivotal point in his career, and that his lack of minutes this season will likely lead to a loan move this summer.

But Arsenal are extremely keen to avoid their man being a peripheral figure at any point, and are therefore looking at ‘insisting on guarantees of regular playing time’.
Everton are mentioned as monitoring the player, along with West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
There is extra incentive for Lewis-Skelly to leave Arsenal on loan this summer, with Thomas Tuchel having apparently emphasised the need to be playing regularly in order to make an impact with England.
Tuchel is a big fan of Lewis-Skelly and reportedly sees him as a potential future option for the national team.
David Moyes’ use of younger players may make Lewis-Skelly deal difficult
Everton really do need to strengthen in the full-back areas and a move for Lewis-Skelly would be positive.
However, this might be a difficult deal to do.
Arsenal would want ‘guarantees’ for Lewis-Skelly to play regularly, which is fair enough. But it’s questionable whether Moyes would be in a position to commit to those guarantees.

Tyler Dibling has barely featured, while Adam Aznou has made just one FA Cup cameo appearance. Merlin Rohl has also not had much of a look in.
Harrison Armstrong has had a good level of involvement, but Lewis-Skelly may well have reservations about making a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium seeing how most others have struggled.
Certainly, if Mykolenko – a player Moyes has long leaned on despite criticism from fans – ends up staying, then a loan move for Lewis-Skelly could be quite unlikely.
