Tuesday was St. Patrick's Day, but it was also an off day for the Boston Celtics in between home games.
Celtics star Derrick White made the most of it by taking a quick trip to New York City to hang out with Jimmy Fallon, appearing on Tuesday's episode of "The Tonight Show."
The reigning Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month discussed his childhood, fatherhood and several major highlights of his NBA career, including the night he was drafted, his NBA debut for the San Antonio Spurs, and chipping his tooth during Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals.

He also got a chance to promote his beer collaboration with Sam Adams, "(Derrick) White Ale." The Boston-based brewery also has special flavors with Boston Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet, New England Patriots legend Julian Edelman and Boston Bruins legend Zdeno Chara as part of its "Our City, Our Beer" lineup.
"It's insane. Never thought I'd have a beer. Never thought I would drink a beer, honestly," White joked. "Now I have one."
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, White and Fallon shared a pint together. Fallon also reminded viewers about Boston's upcoming Sunday Night Basketball game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which airs on NBC this weekend.
After having some fun in the Big City on his off day, White gets back to work on Wednesday as the Celtics host the Golden State Warriors at TD Garden.
