The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to host projected first-round WR Denzel Boston for a pre-draft visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, per The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo.
Denzel Boston is scheduled to meet with the Pittsburgh Steelers for one of his many pre-draft visits, a league source told @TheAthletic.
The 6-4, 210 receiver out of Washington knows how to use his big frame to his advantage and has outstanding hands. https://t.co/1jIMmE4F9E

The Steelers also met with Boston at the NFL Combine, where he said he hoped he could come to Pittsburgh for a pre-draft visit. The Steelers addressed the receiver position with a trade for WR Michael Pittman Jr., but the team is expected to continue to add. Boston is a projected first-round pick who caught 62 passes for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025. That came off the heels of a 2024 campaign where he had 63 receptions for 834 yards and nine touchdowns.
Boston is one of multiple receivers who could be in the mix for the Steelers in the first round, though the team has a number of avenues it can take with its first-round selection. Receiver does still feel like a likely outcome even after trading for Pittman, and Boston is one who would likely be available at Pittsburgh’s No. 21 overall selection.
Other potential first-round receivers who could be on the Steelers’ radar include USC’s Makai Lemon, Indiana’s Omar Cooper Jr., Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson and Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion.
In our scouting report, Alex Kozora compared Boston to former Detroit Lions and New York Giants WR Kenny Golladay and gave him an 8.3 overall grade, considered to be a long-term starter.
“Overall, Boston’s tape didn’t initially wow me but the more I watched it, the better he got. He showed more juice and fluidity than I expected, and his downfield tape looked similar to the Carolina Panthers’ Tetairoa McMillan, who had a 1,000-yard season in 2025 as a rookie. But he’s not the YAC/break tackle threat that McMillan is and that caps Boston’s value and role. Makes both much more limited.”
One note on Boston is that he didn’t run the 40-yard dash at the Combine or at his Pro Day at Washington, which took place earlier this week. The Steelers had scout Mark Bruener in attendance.
Boston is the third receiver expected to come in for a pre-draft visit with the Steelers. The team has also reportedly hosted Kentucky WR Kendrick Law and Cincinnati WR Jeff Caldwell for visits. The date of Boston’s potential visit is unknown.
