It looks like former Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Tee Martin is landing on his feet and landing somewhere he could chart another path back to the NFL thanks to 1 of his former bosses.
“Sources: FormerRavens QBs coach Tee Martin is being hired by Lane Kiffin as an offensive analyst at LSU,” NFL insider Jordan Schultz wrote on his official X account on Wednesday morning. “Martin, who has been in Baltimore since 2021, now returns to the college ranks and reunites with Kiffin, who hired him at USC back in 2012.”
Martin coached 7 seasons at USC — the first 2 under Kiffin — from 2012 to 2018, ending his time there as offensive coordinator.
The change that came with head coach John Harbaugh being fired after 18 seasons and a new head coach in Jesse Minter — and a defensive-minded 1 at that — included Martin losing his job on February 4. Martin was a close personal confidante of 2-time NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.
“Sources: TheRavens will not retain QBs coach Tee Martin under the new coaching staff,” Schultz wrote on X. “A massive change as the well-respected Martin has been in Baltimore since 2021 — and is one of the people closest to Lamar Jackson within the organization.”
