Ignoring the noise of a three-game goal drought, Moises Caicedo has hailed Joao Pedro as a world-class talent, highlighting his importance to this Chelsea team.
Chelsea are in a rough patch right now after a third successive defeat, but two of those defeats have come against the world champions in PSG.
It’s been the defensive issues that have really hurt the Blues.
Liam Rosenior was even seen going mad at his defence during the second leg against PSG, clearly showing even he’s not happy with his current players.
Joao Pedro has struggled to have the same impact as usual, failing to score in his last three games for Chelsea.
However, the Brazilian still has the backing of his fellow teammate Moises Caicedo.
Do you think Chelsea should sack Liam Rosenior? Or are you willing to give him more time?🤔

“It is very important to have him, we know that he is one of the best in the world in his position, so we are very happy because he has contributed a lot to us in this.
“he has contributed a lot this season, so we are sure that he will continue contributing with more goals, assists, and well, we are very happy to have him here.”
This isn’t the first time that Joao Pedro has received praise from Moises Caicedo, with the midfielder claiming that people don’t realise just how good the Brazilian is.

Joao Pedro’s incredible season for Chelsea
Joao Pedro’s debut season at Chelsea has been a statistically dominant campaign, despite a recent three-game blip against elite opposition. As of mid-March 2026, the Brazilian forward has racked up 18 goals and 9 assists across all competitions, establishing himself as the focal point of Liam Rosenior’s attack.
His Premier League output is particularly notable; with 14 goals and 8 assists in 30 appearances. He has become one of the most productive strikers, trailing only Erling Haaland in goal involvements.
The attacker has already surpassed the 20-goal involvements mark, a feat that has made Pedro an indispensable asset and a guarantee for the Brazil squad this summer.
