Liverpool are “currently leading the chase” for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that representatives of the France international have made it known that he is open to leaving the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
Camavinga has played 33 times this season, but the player feels he may need a move to start matches on a regular basis as he hits his prime years.

Camavinga would like to live in London
While Liverpool are currently regarded as favourites, having signalled concrete interest in snapping up the player, they could still fall behind Chelsea in the race for his signature.
It is believed that even though Camavinga is looking to move to England, he is keener on living in London, which makes a switch to Stamford Bridge more appealing.
However, the Frenchman would only consider the Blues as a potential destination if they qualify for the Champions League. Liam Rosenior’s side are currently 6th in the Premier League table, one point behind Liverpool.
Liverpool need to improve in midfield
Arne Slot’s side have really struggled to outrun their opponents this season, and they were a distant second in the running stats even against relegation-threatened Tottenham last weekend.
Alexis Mac Allister has been consistently losing ground duels and has been regularly dribbled past. Unless the Argentinian international can improve in the final two months of the season, a replacement will be needed.
In that regard, Camavinga seems like the ideal target to come in and strengthen a key area of the pitch. It is definitely a transfer to keep an eye on ahead of the summer transfer window.
